Britepaths’ mission is “to provide our Fairfax County area neighbors in need with short-term safety-net services and empower them to work toward long-term sufficiency.” Britepaths offers a variety of programs, including mentoring for under- or un-employed adults, sponsoring families for the holidays, volunteering at the Financial Empowerment Center, or assembling Food4Thought weekend food packs for kids in need.
The Wise Investor Group volunteered for the Food4Thought program. About one-fourth of Fairfax County Public School children receive free or reduced-price meals. The Food4Thought program provides food for kids over the weekend who receive food assistance during the school week and might go without food over the weekend. Each child is offered a backpack with two items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a drink, two snacks.
The Wise Investor Group volunteered to assemble 50 weekend food packs for area children in need.
